How we prepare articles

Alternative Energy is a topic portal about renewable energy for Ukrainian readers. We prepare most articles with the help of artificial intelligence, using a strictly defined and largely automated process. This page explains how that works and what the limits of this approach are.

Is the content written by AI

Yes. Articles are written by the Claude language model (Anthropic), which also produces the Russian and English translations. The editorial team defines topics, sources and rules, but does not read every article by hand before it goes live. That is why every such article carries a corresponding note.

Where topics and sources come from

How facts are checked

  1. The model writes the article only from a package of source texts, with no free web search while writing.
  2. For each fact it attaches a verbatim quote from the source; software checks that the quote really appears in the source text.
  3. All numbers in the text and in the infographic are automatically cross-checked against the sources; a number that is not in the source does not pass.
  4. A separate review (another model acting as an editor) scores factual accuracy, originality, usefulness and language, and flags doubtful passages.
  5. Sentences that could not be confirmed are corrected or removed. If quality is still insufficient after that, the article is not published at all.
  6. After publication, software technically checks the pages in every language: that they open, that no technical leftovers remain in the text, and that language versions are linked correctly. If something fails, the article is taken offline.

Images and charts

Illustrations are created by an image-generation model; they are labelled as AI-generated and are not photographs of real objects. Infographics are built from the numbers given in the article itself and in its sources.
