Clothes on solar panels – know-how from Ukrainian designer

0

The master of Kozelets creates the clothes of the future. The design history of Yuri Vulvach began three decades ago. A man has the education of a radio engineer, but creating a futuristic wardrobe is more for him.

Besides the creation of clothes, the designer also arranges shows that add a special charm to his fashion show. Yuri has repeatedly demonstrated alternative clothing for the residents and guests of Kiev.

A special education in clothing did not receive by a man. All skills acquired independently. At the beginning of his fashion journey, he used magazines and other periodicals that contained patterns as textbooks. Then he began to create unique items of clothing according to his own drawings.

Yuri argues that the sewing of clothing is very stimulating mental activity. He created the first patterns of wardrobe from those materials that were at hand. The man picked up a piece of leather and wondered how to make a pattern in such a way that the material was enough. It was not interesting to buy a ready-made version.

The clothes of the Kozelets wizard demonstrate the interests of the present society. The last collection of Yuri impressed with the unusual approach and the use of the latest trends. The designer created clothes and accessories and supplemented them with solar panels. The collection also decorated with LEDs for more entertainment.

Yuriy Vulvach noted that such clothes and accessories allow you to charge a mobile phone or other small equipment directly while walking on the street. If there is sunny weather in the yard, then such a wardrobe will save you money on electricity consumption.

The designer noticed that the solar panels embedded in the clothes have a capacity of about two watts. Such amount of energy will be enough full charge the mobile phone within an hour. There is only one condition – high solar activity.

The clothes also have LEDs. They are flashing while walking in the sun. In addition, the entire innovative cloakroom is a transformative thing. For example, a skirt can turn into a portrait, if it is unfastened.

Yuri Vulvach also created modernized fur products. This part of the collection is still sewing, but with its ideas, the designer is already sharing with the company. Yuri intends to equip his coats with solar panels and special heating systems. Such clothes will charge gadgets and warm up even in the worst colds.

Accessories from the wizard collection are interesting. Special attention of fashion designers has won bags with solar batteries. Such a bag on a cloudy day will play the role of a practical and extraordinary accessory, and on a sunny day, it will become a mobile solar station. Put a fashion handbag on a table where the sun’s rays fall, and while you enjoy a cup of coffee, your phone or power bank will charge.

The designer’s daughter helps her father in promoting his own brand in every possible way. She has come up with interesting ideas for photo sessions and clothing shows.

Currently, Yuri Vulvich is 54 years old. A man is actively filming in movies and commercials. Now the designer is starting to prepare a new collection of clothing, which is a plan to be shown in the United States.

Rover, which operates on electricity from solar panels, furrows the expanses of Antarctica

Engineers from Holland intend to explore the South Belt using their own design. Lisbet and Edwin ter Velde skillfully combined research with alternative energy and got excellent results.

The Dutch created an electric all-terrain vehicle using a 3D printer. The material for the technical innovations were recycled waste. The all-terrain vehicle is equipped with solar modules that play the role of an energy block. The invention of the Dutch moves thanks to the electrical energy that is generate during the operation of the all-terrain vehicle panels installed on it.

The couple called their project Clean2Antarctica. This project was the result of a couple of years of experience in the development of an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

Solar powered snowmobiles are now hard to surprise anyone. Yes and various items from recycled garbage in the civilized world is no longer a novelty. The peculiarity of the invention of the Dutch is that they created a transport from plastic waste, which is able to reach the South Pole without a drop of fuel.

The electric all-terrain vehicle was name the Solar Voyager. It was create from special blocks with six corners. HexCore were previously make using a 3D printer. The basis served as plastic.

Spouses claim that they have created the first few blocks from plastic waste that has accumulated in their homes. They independently crushed and melted plastic bottles. In this way, they created material that could use a 3D printer.

When the technology was already tested, industrial production of plastic granules came to the aid of the inventors. They were also make from recycled plastic. Pellets were supply from a waste processing plant in the suburbs.

The total amount of hexagonal blocks was 4 thousand. The Dutch chose blocks of exactly hexagonal shape, because this design is the most durable and has the least weight. By the same principle in the hive, bees create honeycombs for honey.

Hexagonal plastic blocks have become a building material for the body of an electric all-terrain vehicle. After assembly, the structure was supplement with four wheels. Then added a couple more trailers on two wheels. On the surface of the trailers and installed solar modules. In total, there are 10. Each panel is two-way, which significantly increases the volume of generation. In addition, in the trailers are food stocks, the number of which is calculate for 47 days of journey.

However, travelers will not have a supply of drinking water. They intend to use the Arctic ice for this purpose. It will melt with the help of special tubes that placed on the panels.

Comfortable temperature inside the cabin will be create by infrared glass elements. They will catch the sun and create heat.

The whole construction together with trailers has a length of 16 meters. The electric all-terrain vehicle with related equipment in the kit weighs about 1.5 tons. A vehicle can reach speeds of up to eight kilometers per hour.

At the beginning of its implementation, the project suggested obtaining a new method for processing plastic waste. As a result, the goal was achieve with a pleasant bonus – the engineers received a high-tech device for research activities in harsh conditions.

The beginning of the mission is schedule for the end of November. Total mileage, which will pass electric all-terrain vehicle, is 2400 kilometers. The round trip should take a total of about 30 days.

In the exclusion zone put into operation the first SES

0

The official opening of the solar power station took place in Chernobyl. Solar Chernobyl has become the first alternative energy facility opened in the exclusion zone.

For more than a year, all domestic and world media were full of headlines about this significant event. In early October of this year, the SES was officially commission in the city of Pripyat. The solar complex is located on the territory of a nuclear power plant. According to the official representative of the developer, the power of the solar power station is about one megawatt. The plans of the company in charge of the project include expanding the capacity to one hundred megawatts in the future.

The springboard for the installation of solar panels and auxiliary equipment has become the industrial territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. SES was install above the fourth nuclear power unit. It was there that the tragedy occurred in April ’86. According to experts, the SES performance per year will be 1024 megawatt-hours.

In 2000, energy communication with Chernobyl was interrupt. Only from the beginning of July this year, the energy system of Ukraine began to be replenish with kilowatts of “green” energy from the exclusion zone. Such energy is realize, as well as any other alternative – according to the “green” tariff.

In the spring of 2018, a competition was announce in our country for the possibility of building the first SES in Chernobyl. The winner was select under the control of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.

At the beginning of implementation, this project assumed that the most powerful solar power plant in Chernobyl would be able to provide electricity to about 30,000 houses.

The developer has a year earlier won a tender for the lease of the site, which is part of the cooling systems in the exclusion zone. The plot area was 2,500 square meters.

The first Chernobyl solar station built by the efforts of two companies – Rodina and Enerparc AG. In 2013, these companies joined forces and became a single economic unit. The consortium was implement-to-implement alternative energy projects in Chernobyl. Rodina-Enerparc AG companies, starting in 2013, have been developing a strategy for building an alienation zone with solar power plants.

In the summer of 2015, a Memorandum was approve between the Consortium and the management of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The document regulates the implementation of construction work on the implementation of the project “Solar Chernobyl”. The memorandum also implies the transfer of the ChAES section to the developer’s lease.

In 2016, a project feasibility study was developed. In addition, the financial and legal aspects of the construction of the future SES were approve.

The agreement on the lease of land for construction was sign in February last year. From October 2017, installation work began.

It is worth noting that the Chernobyl SES began to deliver the first kilowatts of energy to Ukraine since the summer of this year (on June 12, the SES received a “green” tariff).

Ukraine on the way to the development of renewable energy

0

Alternative energy is gaining momentum in development, both in our country and around the world. According to deputies, it is possible to increase the share of generation of “green” energy within Ukraine from 4 to 25 percent only if there is a strong legislative base and full support for this area.

The interest of the authorities in the development of alternative energy is associated with the desire to keep up with foreign partners and with the political situation in the country.

Experts in the field of renewable energy forecast an increase in the share of renewable energy by 40 percent until 2040.

Such perspectives seem overwhelming to some skeptics, but the fact that this sphere is developing does not even deny it. Will the “green” energy of these indicators depend on a number of factors and it is difficult to predict them. One can not be denied – alternative energy is developing.

Since 2010, the price of equipment for renewable energy has decreased by a quarter compared with the current cost. It is worth noting that the cost reduction befell not only the equipment, but also the electricity generated by alternative stations.

Globally, the price of “green” energy generated by solar stations has decreased by 50 percent, and wind energy – by 25. Forecasts of specialists say that in the near future these figures will reach 60 and 30 percent, respectively.

The maximum share of renewable energy in the world falls on the capacity of Italy, Germany, China, the United States, Japan and India.

Ukraine at this stage can not boast a large percentage of renewable energy in the energy market. Within our country, these figures for 10 years increased from 2 percent to 4.

Solar energy has the greatest prospect in Ukraine. After the introduction in 2014 of new tariff rates for “green” energy, both domestic and foreign investors began to actively enter this sphere.

Last year, 257 megawatts was added to the total capacity within the country. According to experts, this figure is twice as much as in 2016 and 8 times higher than in 2015. Of the 257 megawatts added, 211 are derived from solar power plants.

With regard to wind capacity, the progress in development is noticeable here. The main obstacle to increasing the number of WECs is the payback period. In solar power plants, it is much smaller, because the main focus is on them.

The share of wind stations is also growing, though more slowly than solar ones. Last year, the Old Sambir-2 wind power plant was commissioned in the Lviv region. The capacity of this object is more than 20 megawatts. The construction of the station was funded by partners from Denmark.

On the territory of our country, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions are suitable for installing wind capacities.

The use of biomass for electricity production also takes place in the energy sector of Ukraine. Agricultural waste in the country is enough to provide about six percent of annual energy consumption by biogas. Translated into specific numbers – it is 1.7 billion cubic meters of gas.

Legislation on renewable energy is slowing down the pace of development of alternative energy. Experts predict that by 2035 the share of “green” energy will increase to 25 percent.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has announced its willingness to invest in alternative energy in Ukraine under one condition

0

EBRD representatives said they were interested in financial support of Ukraine, but stable tariffs should appear in the country. As of today, within the framework of investment support, the Bank can provide 250,000,000 euros. Investing will be possible under one condition – the Ukrainian Government should abandon the retrospective changes to the “green” tariff. In addition, the EBRD requires in no way to change the rules of the game on the Ukrainian market of alternative energy sources.

Such information was voiced by Deputy Director of the European Bank in our country Petrova Marina. The position voiced in relation to Ukraine was fully supported by the head of the Electricity Bank of the Bank Harry Boyd Carpenter.

According to Harry Boyd-Carpenter in our country there is no need for reflexive changes. The expert noted that changes to the tariff would lead to a loss of funds by investors who financed Ukrainian projects in previous years. Boyd Carpenter also noted that the investment should be preceded by the announcement of a specific date for possible changes in the “green” tariff. Investors can then adequately assess the risks and payback periods of the projects. After the project is launched, such changes and amendments are simply not allowed.

Petrova Marina remarked that the retrospective tariff reduction drastically reduced the investment attractiveness of Spanish and Italian RES projects. This happened immediately after the auctioning of the energy market.

According to analytical data, the decline in the number of investors in Italy and Spain was caused by a direct change in the rules of the game. According to Marina Petrova, our country has to bring constant tariffs to new and already existing investors, that it is possible to do business here and expand the horizons.

Only this approach will allow an increase in the share of alternative energy from year to year. If there are retrospective changes to the tariffs, then investors will not have to deal with unreliable obligations of the country.

Harry Boyd-Carpenter also said that the introduction of auctions will make electricity from RE even cheaper. The process of establishing prices in Ukraine will become impossible at that.

“Green” auctions cheapen energy and it is profitable on a countrywide scale. But a more rational solution would be to set a tariff that would make it more profitable for the consumer to buy energy, and the Government would gradually come out of the process of establishing value. In addition, this option allows you to set control over the volumes of electricity from the Government.

The EBRD is not the only entity seeking to finance Ukrainian alternative energy. It has become known that Finland has allocated 6 000 000 euros in order to implement new projects in Ukraine.

The allocated amount will be at the disposal of the Finnish-Ukrainian Trust Fund. Within five years, this organization will distribute funds to various projects within our country. The Foundation was founded last year when the President of Ukraine visited Finland.

As the coordinator of the Finnish-Ukrainian Trust Fund, the State Department of Energy Efficiency is in favor. The mission of the fund is to support municipalities and developers in developing technical and economic feasibility studies for new alternative energy projects.

Our country is fast and confident in energy independence. At the state level, some processes are very slow, but the prospect is obvious, especially for foreign investors.

The city of Lion will be completely transferred to alternative energy by 2050

0

Mayor at the opening of the International Ecological Forum in Lvov yesterday, that by 2050, the share of alternative sources in the energy balance will be 100%. Such an ambitious goal, Andriy Sadovy, approved the relevant memorandum. The agreement was signed with an international climatic organization.

According to the memorandum items, Lvov will gradually renounce coal and gas, reduce its energy consumption and eventually turn to renewable energy sources.

It should be noted that the city of Lion is included in the top 5 cities in Eastern Europe, which set a specific goal – the introduction of exclusively “green” energy. Among these cities also included: Chortkiv, Kutaisi, Zhitomir and Kamyanets-Podilsky.

Specialists note the beginning of the historic phase of energy transformation in Ukraine. The country renounces fossil fuels in favor of clean energy.

It is known that 84 percent of all harmful carbon dioxide emissions occur in the process of combustion of oil products, gas and coal. Preventing the occurrence of serious natural anomalies will help increase investment in alternative energy and gradually reduce the financial investment in the extraction and use of fossil fuel resources.

According to Yulia Melnyk (campaigners from the REE in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus), such events help build a new positive image of our country among the international community. Following the adoption of such political decisions, the following steps should be taken:

– creation and detailing of energy planning;

– development of climatic strategies;

– attraction of investments;

– сreation of a foundation for sustainable mobility;

– adaptation to climate change;

– increase of energy efficiency indicators.

Cities that have already signed such agreements are currently actively attracting investment and implementing new alternative energy projects. In the vicinity of these cities, new solar power plants and CHP plants that operate through biomass are being built. The first steps in the right direction are already being made, but ahead of Ukraine there are still many transformations and solutions that can bring clean energy to a new level.

Lvov’s mayor called on the leaders of other Ukrainian cities to assume responsibility for moving to the REE. According to Andriy Sadovy, the goal is very ambitious. To move completely to alternative sources of energy by 2050, a lot of money needs to be put into the reorganization of public transport and the city fleet should be filled with electric cars, modernization of the city’s waste water treatment facilities, the introduction of a large number of new technologies and adaptation to the realities of urban life.

The Mayor of Lvov said that the city now acts as a locomotive, which can show the direction to others and help them move forward. All you have to do is sign an agreement and begin to work actively.

It should be noted that from 12 to 14 September in the city of San Francisco there is an important event for the world’s green energy. The Global Climate Summit has gathered almost a thousand leaders of settlements, businessmen, and representatives of local authorities to form a new vision of the energy championship. This event was attended by the head of the Zhitomir City Council Sukhomlin Sergey. In his speech, he briefed representatives of different countries on the peculiarities of the green course of our country.

The algorithm for obtaining a heater loan for condominiums

0

An example of a successful “warm” loan by condominium condominiums is the history of co-owners of multi-apartment buildings in the Kyiv region. Condominiums Kotelnikova-31, located in the capital, could get a loan, the size of which is 467 000 UAH.

An interesting fact is that this community became the first in our country who received a loan from OTP Bank. The issuance of credit funds was carried out in accordance with the program of money supply of energy efficiency of residential buildings. In Ukraine, such a program is conducted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The program has received the international name IQ energy.

The Kiev ACMH, which issued a loan, will receive compensation under this program. In this particular case, such a payment will be 40 percent of the loan body. Representatives of the ACMHs reported that the project envisages the initial replacement of 66 windows that do not perform their functions due to long service life. In addition, the replacement is waiting for the old door in the apartment building. In the framework of the project, install energy-efficient window fixtures.

Kotelnikov-31 Condominiums Kotelnikov-31 Kostyuk Nicholas is convinced that the order and comfort of multi-apartment buildings depends only on its inhabitants. Mr. Kostyuk also said that members of the condominium associations are very pleased to be pioneers in this matter. Loans will help make them warmer and more economical. Mykola Kostiuk claims that one should not wait until the state resolves housing problems and problems. Residents of multi-apartment buildings must themselves identify the initiative and change the living conditions for the better.

Representative of the leadership of the international program for the insulation of housing in Ukraine Bulgakov Oksana stated that the lack of centralized measures for insulation of multi-apartment buildings makes it impossible to increase energy efficiency within the country. Therefore, ACMHs must be actively connected to the IQ energy program to solve this problem.

It should be noted that the insulation of housing not only makes living more comfortable and reduces the harmful emissions of carbon dioxide into the environment, but also significantly increases the cost of such housing in the real estate market.

In the management of OTP Bank stated that the loans for ACMBs envisaged a fairly wide range of energy efficient programs.

Credits allow:

– to make thermal isolation of walls, floors and roofs of the house;

– modernize the heat supply system;

– to install heat meters;

– install individual heating points;

– Increase the overall energy efficiency.

Specialists note that compensatory payments within the framework of the program of insulation of housing can be used by representatives of ACMHs not only for the main category of the project. These funds can be spent on services, installation works, and additional materials. But this rule applies if all of the above expenses were settled by a loan from a bank that is a partner of the IQ Energy program.

The website of the International Housing Inspection program contains a special catalog, which contains over 7,000 energy-efficient technologies and products that can be used within the project.

The loan from OTP Bank under the IQ Energy program can range from 200,000 UAH to 2 million. The loan is issued for a term of five years. The annual interest rate is 17.5 percent. In this case, there is a one-time commission – 1.25 percent.

The IQ Energy program aims to increase the energy efficiency of Ukrainian housing and create a more comfortable environment for them. Under current conditions, such a project can significantly reduce the amount of utility bills.

Thanks to “green” energy, Ukraine has received a saving of 1.2 billion euros for 4 years

0

Alternative energy sources have helped our country save more than a billion euros over the past four years. The head of the State Energy Efficiency in the official report provided such information.

Sergei Savchuk also said that over the past four years, it has been possible to attract more than one billion euros of investment for the implementation of new RES projects. Ukraine managed to save about 1.2 billion euros annually on gas imports. The head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency also provided data according to which our country for the specified time purchased 6 billion cubic meters of gas a year less than before. Even in the scale of the whole state, these figures are quite impressive.

Over the past 4 years, Ukraine has also concluded 190 ESCO agreements, involving the allocation of about 200 million hryvnia. According to the estimates of the specialists of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, about seven billion hryvnias were invest for improving the energy efficiency of housing (including warming) for the period indicated.

Among the most important achievements on a national scale, experts emphasize the decrease in the volume of gas consumed (this applies to DH enterprises, residents and budget organizations). Six billion cubic meters of cubic gas savings were record last year. The comparative characteristic of consumed volumes was carry out with 2014 year.

Such news indicates that the level of energy independence of our country rises from year to year, that is, there is a positive dynamics. It also note that with the implementation of new projects in this area there are new jobs for our compatriots, which has a beneficial effect on the economy of the country as a whole.

The specialists of the State Energy Efficiency also noted that with the emergence of new capacities of alternative energy, local budgets of towns and villages receive tangible dividends from the lease of land plots, etc. In the near future, such dynamics will allow talking about the reduction of the population’s payment for energy.

In Ukraine, in recent years, there have been 2,000 additional megawatts of thermal capacity, which is generate not by gas. These projects proved to be sufficiently attractive for investment, so the financial investments were valued at 460 million euros.

In the State Energy Efficiency, they stated that based on the received data a new goal was form. According to it, until 2022 Ukraine should reduce the volume of consumed blue fuel by 5 billion cubic meters per year.

An important role in increasing the country’s energy independence was also play by “warm credits”. Such loans from the state helped the residents of the country to save considerably on energy carriers. Investment in this project amounted to more than 7 billion hryvnia. The project united about 500 000 Ukrainian families. The state under this program was reimburse 2.3 billion hryvnia. According to experts, thanks to the program on insulation of housing it was possible to save an additional 230 million cubic meters of cubic gas.

At the initiative of the State Energy Efficiency, the energy management system for enterprises in the budgetary area was implement. At present, in 95 settlements and 11 regions of our country, energy monitoring is carry out on a regular basis.

The alternative energy support system in Ukraine does not provide a proper incentive effect

0

According to DiXi Group specialists, the Ukrainian renewable energy system does not deliver the results that were planned. The report was compiled on the basis of analysis:

– Measures to stimulate the development of RES on the state level;

– bills that have been adopted lately;

– the effect of lowering the “green” tariff;

– organization of auctions to be held for large generating enterprises.

Experts came to the conclusion that the existing system admits a number of errors and has some disadvantages. According to experts, existing support for RES should be reviewed and improved as soon as possible.

Analytical data showed that there is currently some imbalance in the system of alternative capacity, which is expressed in the predominance of large solar and wind farms.

The report states that large alternative projects account for 88 percent of the total volume, while only 12 percent account for a small generation. This indicates that the state does not pay enough attention to stimulate the small distributed generation. It should be noted that small projects are as close as possible to the consumer, so increase their number is profitable. But for some reason, the existing system of state support creates favorable conditions only for the development of large generating capacities.

Specialists also drew attention to the fact that there are currently higher tariffs compared to industrial production for low-power generation. But for some reason, the number of private and commercial SES and WEUs is growing very slowly.

It should be noted that experts in the field of alternative energy still record the growth of the number of private stations. The dynamics is about 34 percent per quarter. As for commercial small-scale projects (stations with capacity up to 1 megawatts), then the situation is completely sad – the dynamics are very small.

In addition, technological imbalance is also being investigated. It consists in insufficient involvement of the latest technologies. State support is limited to traditional solar and wind equipment, while other countries are actively developing new generation sources and equipment.

The report highlighted the issue of the financial burden on the energy market. This factor is offset not only by the “green” tariff. The domestic currency, the price and volume of electricity production are also directly influenced by other technologies.

Experts have noted that the price of “green” energy is reduced in anchor to the euro. But the share of electricity prices in relation to the total cost purchased by DT Energorynok has changed in the range of one percent (+/-).

According to the report, state plans and strategies have radical differences with the current situation in alternative energy. The discrepancies are tracked between the Energy Strategy, the National Action Plan and the real indicators.

The report for the past year has shown that the share of alternative energy has grown to 8.4 percent. Only in the Strategy it is stated that the goal of 2020 is to achieve an indicator of 8 percent.

The report reflects not only the negative aspects of the issue. REEs in Ukraine are still developing at a certain pace, so there are many positive points that specialists also noted in the document.

Currently, seven new projects are being discussed in the Verkhovna Rada regarding the promotion of alternative energy. In addition to the parliamentarians, a number of specialists and experts in the field of RES are involved in the process of coordination.

Virtual power station: what is it and what is it for?

0

What is a virtual power station?

Virtual power plants, micro networks and other systems operating autonomously represent an entirely new technological level of alternative energy. Many analysts argue that these systems are technologies of the future.

It should be noted that the virtual station is far from the traditional understanding of generation production – it is a cloud IT system. Directly connected to the virtual power plant are sources of electricity and households of consumers. Primarily, low-power objects located nearby are used as an energy source.

The virtual power station performs, first of all, the distribution function, that is, it delivers all the incoming electricity in a certain amount to consumers. In addition, the system is able to help accumulate energy, exchange or sell it. Electricity can be sold both in the system itself and outside it, that is, in the conditions of the external energy market.

Components of a virtual power station

Each virtual electric system has the following components:

– a certain number of energy sources (in each network, it can be completely different);

– consumers connected to the power plant;

– energy storage system;

– software that monitors the operation of the power grid.

A virtual power station allows all components to interact with the highest possible efficiency. The system monitors both demand and supply. Within the network, a number of trading processes are carried out, launched in conditions of maximum benefit to consumers.

With the help of software, the volumes of electricity produced are managed on the basis of existing consumer demand. It is also possible to regulate demand, depending on the amount of electricity available in the system.

It should be noted that in the conditions of virtual power plants, a large part of consumers act as energy generators, since photovoltaic panels or wind installations are installed on the territory of the household.

How does a virtual power plant function?

The IT system operates in a fairly understandable manner, although management processes involve a number of rather complex functions. The system is controlled by a special platform, which acts as a kernel.

The platform stores, stores and processes a series of data on electricity producers and consumers that are part of a virtual power plant. The kernel has access to the regulation of the work, both the consumer and the producer.

As information about the manufacturer, information is used regarding the equipment’s capacity, current generation of electricity, equipment status, operating characteristics, the owner of the station, and so on.

Information about the consumer includes the number of household appliances, the time of maximum energy consumption, recommendations for savings and the peculiarities of household consumer habits. Thanks to the software, the demand and supply indicators are reduced to a single point.

When there is an excess of electricity, the system redirects it for accumulation. When there is an acute need for energy, the previously accumulated kilowatts are used to satisfy the energy needs of the consumer. In addition, the system can intervene in the energy consumption of a particular house. This is necessary in order to create a balance in the energy system without using the accumulated energy.

Experience in the introduction of virtual power plants in the world

The maximum number of such systems is installed in Australia. The largest virtual power plant is located right there. This station became known to the world community, as it was built in 100 days by Tesla.

At this stage the station has not yet reached its maximum efficiency. According to experts’ forecasts, this should happen in the next four years. As a result, a virtual system with a capacity of 250 megawatts will be able to connect 50,000 consumers (at the moment there are 37,000 households among those wishing to participate).

Australia also practices the use of virtual power stations in residential areas.

In addition, a large virtual system is located in the city of Munich. It was installed back in 2010. The number of network consumers is approaching 20 thousand.

Another virtual power station is installed in the Hawaiian Islands. There are 3,200 consumers connected to this system.

In fact, it is also possible to introduce virtual power stations on the territory of our country. The only notable obstacle is the imperfect legislative base. The fact is that Ukrainians have the right to purchase electricity only from oblenergo.

Such restrictions exist not only in Ukraine, but also in many other countries of the world.

An interesting solution to this problem was found by the inhabitants of Brooklyn (New York). They acquire from each other kilowatts for bitcoins. Since the crypto currency in the US is not recognized, then no one in fact violates the law, and the system operates within a whole quarter.
